A law college for the common good.
Bhuvana Jyothi Institute of Legal Studies stands on a green campus in Shirthady, away from noise and air pollution, and exists to bring value-based legal education to students who need it.

Our story.
Five teachers found the Bhuvana Jyothi Education Trust, a non-profit public charitable trust, on 6 June. It runs a CBSE residential school for Classes 5 to 10 with about 600 students from across Karnataka.
The Institute of Legal Studies is established so that rural students can also study law. More than sixty students join the first batch. The BBA LL.B and LL.B begin.
The Bar Council of India approves the institute from the academic year 2024-25. The institute is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi.
The KSLU Local Inquiry Committee visits on 9 January for the 2026-27 affiliation.
