Examinations
The examination shall be conducted as per the norms specified by the Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi. Every semester end examination is in 100 marks pattern for both 5 Year B.B.A.,LL.B and 3 Year LL.B courses. There is no internal assessment marks offered for the theory subjects. The Clinical Courses such as Professional ethics and professional accounting system, alternative dispute resolution system, drafting, pleading and conveyance and moot court exercise and internship will have internal assessment marks. Students can write the University examination at college only since, BJILS is an authorised examination centre of the Karnataka State Law University.
- Students of 3 year LL.B course shall have to complete 15 weeks internship and students of 5 year B.B.A.,LL.B shall have to complete 20 weeks internship respectively and undergo a Viva-Voce examination in the last semester of their study.
- No student shall be permitted to appear for the semester end examination in a given course unless he/she has to the satisfaction of the course teacher fulfilled the course requirements and has put in not less than 70% attendance in the course concerned.
- Every student shall be promoted to next higher classes irrespective of the fact that he has failed in any of the paper prescribed for the study but a student is required to successfully complete the LL.B course within five years (3 years normal duration plus 2 years extension) and B.B.A.,LL.B course within 7 years (5 years of normal duration plus 2 years of extension). A student shall be eligible for 3 year LL.B or 5 year B.B.A.,LL.B degree after he/she is successfully complete all the prescribed courses in all the semesters provided his or her character and conduct are found to be satisfactory.
